About Ed Smaron
Ed is a longtime composer/songwriter who now creates instrumental music for commercials, film, TV, and other projects.
His sound ranges from solo piano to pop, electronica and onward.
He picked out his first tune on a toy organ at age three, and he's been performing professionally since the early 1990's. For nearly ten years, he was a musical director for improvisational comedy theaters in Chicago and Los Angeles, including the legendary Second City. He's worked with a long roster of familiar Hollywood names, writing and co-writing original songs for sketch comedy revues and scoring improvised sketches on the fly in front of packed houses across the U.S.
Ed has also written hundreds of songs with lyrics, and released a solo EP, "Atheist Blonde," in 2015.
Outside the studio, he's a full time radio traffic reporter, working voiceover talent, global traveler and avid photographer.
